I thought it would be better if we moved this one to the public forum in case anyone else wants to donate ideas, not to mention it will save on email clutter.
Right now everything is up in the open, nothing is set in stone…..dates, times, everything is subject to change depending on what can get us the best turnout and the most stuff/money for the people who REALLY need it.
I am sure with all of us putting our heads together we can make this happen.
What do you guys think about a name? Sounds silly, but we need a name that:
1. Instantly identifies what we are doing.
2. Is easy to remember and pass on to others.
3. Catchy would be nice.
Operation: Salsa Foodbank is just a temp name. I like the “Operation” for the military sound and aggressive forward movement, but you guys may beg to differ.
“Regarding the Food Bank, that’s an excellent idea! They not only need food items, but they also need personal care items and household items.
If you collect money I can submit a check w/Matching funds from GSK or I can contact Thrivent Financial For Lutherans to see if they still have funds available and you can get a donation of $1 for every $3 dollars raised.”
