The Leader’s Paradox
You will spend your entire life pouring your heart into others, striving to bring them to their personal perfection and inspiring them to grow beyond their imagination.
Day and night you obsess over figuring out how to help them surpass you.
You will simultaneously spend your entire life striving for your own personal perfection, searching for that next step to bring yourself closer to a goal that can never be attained.
Day and night you work to better yourself to provide inspiration for those who look up to you, keeping you one step ahead. It’s difficult to elevate others from the same level.
Strange paradox.
Outside of the world dance, are you striving to make others around you better than YOU?
Pushing to make yourself replaceable has the opposite effect -you become irreplaceable.
Life only remembers you by what you give. Lift others higher than yourself.
As Seth Godin says, “Are you statue worthy?”
